The BHCW is born!

A long time ago in a back garden far, far away...

You could be forgiven for thinking it was a long time ago that BHCW was an active (used in the loosest possible way) wrestling organisation.  Yet it was only a little under 3 years ago in early 2002 when BHCW was first captured on film.  The birds were singing. The bees were buzzing. There was a man taking a whiz behind a telephone box.  And if you had listened carefully enough, you could hear four people wrestling in a back garden in Offerton. These four people were called Romero, J, Povall, C, Berks, M and Pinder, A; commonly known as Romerosuperstar, Povallsky, Mike Omega and The Teacher - Four losers who liked wrestling way too much and imitated their heroes as closely as possible by pretending to hit each other and ruining perfectly good cutlery.

And so the action began.  The wire of the camera trailing on the concrete.  The sweat of the wrestlers falling and resting on the grass, the entrance music's last dying echoes fading. It's the stuff dreams are made of.
And so it began.

It's British.
It's Hardcore.
It's Championship Wrestling.
BHCW, you work it out.

BHCW.co.UK debuted on the choppy seas of the internet in late 2003 during the twilight days of it's wrestling era.  The website proved to be a bit of a disappointment in quality, quantity and the number of hits we were receiving; this due to lack of time and effort put in to the site event though the owners had put a lot of money towards the rights to the name and the web space.  A tearing down and rebuilding proved to be a huge hit with many people thanks to the new superstar profiles that had been added, which included such legendary characters such as The Tard and Cactus Sack among many others.

The website unfortunately had to shut down because the person who dealt with the website had screwed us out of the money and ran with it.  We had the website up for a full year whilst the web space owners assumed we would pay at the end of the year.  The lesson here is to never trust the middle man.

Although the physical portion of BHCW has been dead and buried for coming up it's second year, the memory still lives on. There has been talk of having a 1-off BHCW reunion show to relive the golden years of our youth, and we still can because we're all still in our youth, which is lucky.  Without a doubt, the most popular part of the BHCW website were the profiles.  The profiles have been recreated on to this website for YOUR enjoyment and because I love you.  The rest of the website will be updated too.  So finally all of you can stop asking when BHCW is coming back because baby, we never went away!

Summary of BHCW

Explain...
BHCW is pretty much a big joke amongst many people these days thanks to the (should have an) award winning profiles and the always-controversial Never Ending Story.  About 8 people all in all used to wrestle, give promotional interviews and generally make Asses of themselves to amuse the other 7 in the group.
Any plans?
There is a big possibility that we will be making a DVD of all our greatest hits, misses and promotional videos and documentaries (yes, they exist) for anyone who wants one.  All the matches would have commentary and the theme music added on with some very professional effects for good measure.  The 1-Off BHCW reunion is also looking fairly likely.  It will be the original cast doing what we always do:  Amuse ourselves and no one else.  The reunion show is tentatively scheduled for the Easter holidays.  It probably won't happen, but it's nice to pretend it will.
But is it all for real?
Pffft, no.  Since when was wrestling even attempting to be real?  And we made it look even faker by doing it ourselves.
